Tomorrow morning (Thursday 9th December) at around 4.00am it will have been thirty years since John Lennon was assassinated.

Here's one of my all-time favourite Lennon songs to remember John by.

He wrote some amazingly beautiful songs. I was mad on him in 1980, I'll never forget the devastation of hearing about his death. Hardly seems possible it was 30 years ago.

Have you got the recently released 'stripped down' version of Double Fantasy?
The performances sound far more intimate and passionate than the originals.

Back in the summer when i was walking around Liverpool , i was thinking what a shame it was that he ever left England....or Liverpool even.

Without wishing to connect Stina to everything, I must admit it would have been intersting had Stina covered 'Love' on her 'People Are Strange' album.

No I haven't Rob, I didn't even know about it? I loved that record though so I'll probably pick it up when I can afford to.

The first song my iPod played this morning (I keep it in Shuffle mode, so it randomly plays from the c.10,000 'songs' I have on it) was Lennon's '#9 Dream' (which is my favourite JL song).

hmmm.... a rather spooky coincidence.....perhaps your iPod is haunted by the spirit of John Lennon? Quick, get it on eBay ASAP.

iPod shufflings are full of odd coincidences-I think there are websites devoted to it, some people believing that they can read your mind!

I have been very good! But only due to a distinct lack of opportunities to be bad.

Hmm, maybe I'll send my daughter a link to it on Amazon, just in case she happens to know any Lennon fans who might like it as a Christmas present.
