Have you guys heard of this norwegian/swedish singing and songwriting talent. Her style should appeal to all of us Stina fans, since she makes interesting guitar compostions with a jazzy influence (song no. 6 reminds me of Fiona Apple) and lyrics that are really good too.

Her new album is called "A Temporary Dive". It has been no.1 in the norwegian charts for the last two weeks..

Ane Brun is Norwegian, but she lives in Stockholm.

I prefer Anna Ternheim to Ane Brun. I only own Brun's latest single, but I downloaded the album some time ago.

Ane Brun got a really special voice, I like her, but I found her to be more country/singandsong-writer.

I recommended her on the previous board, as I found her first album quite admirable for a first release.

After you recommended her on the previous board I went to listen to her album Spending Time With Morgan, I thought her sound was a bit similar. The songs were exposable imho.

Since I've been listening to "humming your song" from 'Spending time with Morgan' all day i thought it'd be good to push up the Ane Brun thread; also as a reminder that she'll be coming to the Netherlands june 20/21

I got "A Temporary Dive" recently because it was linked with Anna Ternheim and she's Scandinavian, so it's gotta be good,. It's a very enjoyable album. Each track is different but not too different. My favourite track off the album has got to be "Song no 6" followed by "Humming One Of Your Songs".

She is like a female Ray La Montagne which also means she sounds American. "A Temporary Dive" is a perfect album for long driving trips.
