I can't help being reminded of Stina Nordenstam when I listen to her music, especially on tracks like Open Wide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNjcjJC7GmI). Very reminiscent.

Indeed I can see the resemblance to Dynamite-era Stina-really liked that song until the chorus which was a bit more average, but the rest makes me want to go and hear more.

I've been getting into Marika's albums recently,and particularly like last years Big Sigh.Here's the opener, The Ground.

Yeah, I was unfamiliar with her when this thread was created nine years ago so I'm glad I spotted it before I'd created a new one on Marika. To be honest I only originally checked her out as she's on the same Transgressive label as my fave band (Let's Eat Grandma) are. Since then though,I've really enjoyed Marika's work in its own right. I don't hear any similarities with Stina though,apart from the one track, Wanderlust.....and even that is stretching things a bit.

Yeah, since yesterday, I listened to 3 of her albums, and it's varied and good. I think 2-3 songs could come a bit close to Stina work, mainly due to the raw guitar sound with chorus on it and the way of singing.
