From the DA archives: Stina makes radio play

June, 2003. THIS IS AN OUTDATED, OLD NEWS ITEM!!!
"Isens Fasor", an audio piece commissioned by The Swedish National Radio. Freely based on the diaries of the Imperial Austrian-Hungarian North Pole Expedition, 1872-74. Voice and music Stina Nordenstam . Concept and direction B. Szyber & C. Reich. Musical production: David ?sterberg.
Final mix January and was broadcasted twice in May 2003 in the program series "White nights". Length ca 30 min.

Yeah, that was great! I heard it on the radio by chance. I'm sorry but Stina's voice speaking is just ... I don't like when you hear the saliva-noises in people's mouths when they speak. It sounds ... icky.
There was also a "performance" of the play in Stockholm and everyone was all worked up about it - like you can't imagine. In the end it was just a stage with a tape recorder ... the old kind, with really big tape rolls. Everyone was hoping for an "aapearance". but I guess Stina fans know better.

I noticed that too. Maybe it's supposed to be like that to sound "autentic" in a way?

That's a REEL TO REEL tape recorder to all you lot under 30 years old who've been spoilt by new technology.
I recall many hours winding tape onto the damned things in the 80s. [b)]
