Desire Avenue

During the last year or so I've been getting into the music of the Unthanks and last Saturday I saw them live for the first time. The venue was the Barbican in London,where they were backed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia,the final show on a short four date tour.

One of my favourite tracks by the Unthanks is Mount The Air,and here's a live performance from one of the shows just a couple of days earlier in Glasgow.

....and here's a performance from the Barbican in London last Saturday. The song is 'The Snow It Melts The Soonest'. I was only about six rows back from the stage but more over to the left,basically level with Adrian McNally on piano.
