The Emiliana Thread

Post by pgss »

In a couple of days the new album of Emiliana Torrini will be released. I received an email that her website (http://www.emilianatorrini.com) will be launched very soon.

I'm still not sure wether I'll be buying the new album. I like Sunny Road (the single), but it's all a bit too acoustic/quiet for me. :?

I (also) enjoyed Love.... far more than the new album.

It's "nice", but too "nice" for it's own good so to speak.

i'm thinking of getting the new single because a) the song is the best off the album (from the bits i've heard on itunes), b) it has the video, which is deadly, and c) there's a dub mix, which i hope will be wicked, maaan. but it probably won't be. we live in hope though

When is it the SR single out, or is it already available?

I'm really curious wether the new album will do good on the charts.
Her previous album did get quite a lot of media-attention and airplay. Of course now that Emiliana has written Slow for Kylie Minogue, more DJ's will be paying attention.

Yeah, "Dub Mix" sounds exciting, but unfortunately these days it usually means that it is an instrumental remix. :x

The White Session chez Lenoir? I arrived there when it was finished. :(
My boyfriend bought me the limited single Lifesaver, a vinyl with a dry flower in it, numbered and signed by Emiliana. :)

I don't post directly the link with the session but it's on this site http://emilianamusic.free.fr/ on the right under multimedia.
Edit: it doesn't work anymore.
Setlist:
1. Honeymoon child
2. Today has been OK
3. Lifesaver
4. Sunny road
5. Heartstopper
6. At least it was
7. Fisherman's woman
8. Nothing brings me down

Even though I didn't like the songs I've heard so far, I'm still curious about the album. I like the artwork. And I like the positive vibe in titles like "Today has been OK", "Sunny Road", "Lifesaver" etc.
