Has anyone seen the film Aberdeen? Score by Zbigniew Preisner with a couple of tracks with vocals and co-written by SN - beautiful score - just wondered what the film was like?

i've heard the track 'For You' by Preisner and Stina and it's a wonderful song, but i don't know anything about the movie.

somewhat sad actually.

after i saw the title here i decided to watch it again last night. it's about a young woman who is asked by her mother in aberdeen to fetch her norvegian father, because the mother is seriously ill. she finds him with a serious drinking problem, and as such bringing him to aberdeen isn't the most obvious job, which in the end even gets herself into trouble. not a hollywood end, very touching though.

stina's voice on the closing titles allows for the tears to dry. the beauty is in the sadness.

yes, i was a touching movie. i thought the story was good and the acting as well, talent was indeed a forte. i was glad because i was hoping Stina wouldn't put her voice on anything so worthless ya know? the song is on the menu so after the credits were done (i was still crying, mind you) i sat there and thought for a while still listening, then had to get up and do something happy;) it wasn't quite dancer in the dark sad thank goodness, for we don't need more movies like that, life can be more than depressing enough not add depressing entertainment...

its definitely a movie you should try to see if you can. esp for Stina's voice.

It's definitely a movie I would like to see, yet I never saw it broadcasted on tv nor have I ever seen it on dvd in the shops.

It's still listed on some Norwegian online shops for about $14, but I don't know of any shop that ships internationally.
