re-evaluation

Re-evaluation
Just rejoined the forum having been a member at seek you danger for a couple of months or so, before it all went pear shaped. I apologise if this is a thread often aired, but I will plough on regardless.
Every now and again I decide to have a re-evaluation of an artistes back catalogue, and most recently that has been with Miss N, this re-evaluation takes the form of me listening to all of their major releases back to back and then considering where they sit in terms of my most favourite, down to the least favourite of the said artistes records (I do have a method but I am certainly not going to bore you with details). My conclusions for those of you who might be interested were as follows:
And she closed her eyes: this still remains as my favourite record overall, this is partly due to the impact it had on me when I first heard it. Few records seem to come out of nowhere in terms of sound, and this was one of those few, and it still has the power to surprise me even after all these years. It just kind of takes you into a complete other world.
This is: This makes into second place, and might of pushed ASCHE closer if not for the 2 collaborations with Brett Anderson, don?t get me wrong they are not terrible, but for me it somehow destroys the ambience of the record, and Sharon and Hope is still one of my absolute favourite tracks of Stina?s.
The World is saved: Joint third place with Dynamite, when it came out last year, I was a little disappointed with the overall record, but over time it has slowly grown on me, and now I think it is pretty strong all around, and gives me much hope for future releases.
Dynamite: Although I don?t play this as often as some of the others, when I do I always find myself thinking why don?t I play this more often, but maybe that is the whole point, and playing it more often would just dilute the impact. More difficult to listen to then all the others (except people are strange) but very rewarding when you hear it all the way through.
Memories of a colour: I tend to really like certain tracks on this album as opposed to the whole thing, and I kind of see it as a pro-forma to ASCHE, its just not so fully developed as a piece of work to me.
People are strange: Never really got on with this release, it does have its moments and there are tracks that I occasionally listen to, but on the whole I find it really difficult to listen to.

it would be from this album. I love the fact that it has such a direct and honest punch.
