I hope you kids haven't forgotten that Sigur R?s has a new album out on Tuesday/Wednesday. It's called "Takk" and you can listen to the whole of it here:

I love Sigur ros. I tried listening to Takk but it keeps stopping on my crappy dial up (oh for broadband),.but sounds great anyway.

This is very very good
And I listened to Sigur Ros on Fuji Rock Festival.
I can't forget this live! then I was weeping
uncontrollably...
I wish they come to Japan again!

Oh... Takk is all I've been able to listen too since it came out. I LOVE it THIS MUCH!!! My favourites so far are Gong and Sv? Hlj?tt.
Well... all I could listen to until yesterday. I went on a record shopping spree and got Interpol's two albums and Franz Ferdinand's new single.

They released Japan tour only limited EP.... But.... this is shame

This seems to be the lonely Sigur Ros thread; guess there hasn't been much news;
but now there's a new EP on the '3voor12 luisterpaal' so check it out, since it's free to listen to!

It is called 'Heim' which probably is the same as norwegian hjem -at home.

I've bought the double EP Hvarf/Heim and it's very nice; I like the double layout of the packaging allthough a booklet with info/pictures would have been nice too. There's supposedly also a dvd out, also called Heim(a) that shows the return of Sigur Ros to their home country Iceland where they play a series of unanounced acoustic concerts. Can't wait to see that, cause it's also showing the landscape very nicely i've read

The BBC's Culture Show did a half hour special on Sigur Ros a couple of weeks ago,previewing the film and them playing live at the Electric Proms.The full prog doesnt seem to be avaailable to see,but heres 5 mins of "Hoppipolla".

It's nice to be able to see "The Culture Show" about Sigur Ros this way! But i've also bought the dvd last weekend and am most impressed by it! Really a wonderful and impressive picture of the music, the band and Iceland. It was also nice to see Amiina play along most of the time
. This is really mandatory viewing for everyone here I would say, the way they make music is very impressive for me and watching the movie was very emotional too.
I'll watch it many more times!
