Very nice website !

very nice looking website with a good overview of everything Stina has to offer; the pictures section is great and the streaming videos is truly awesome! this is a good advertisement for Stina! maybe you could give this forum a more prominent place, allthough you've put up your own forum..

Now where did you get those words for 'First day in Spring'? Never seen that particular version of them before...

wow, it's awesome. the streaming video and audio is a VERY nice touch. Are you open to some constructive criticism? I really like it and don't want you to feel I don't but there are a few things I've learned will attract more to a site. And i love the fact that you even did it.

Nice site! I love that you have streaming video. I just hope you don't get into trouble with copyright holder though. Have you checked in on that?

My only major criticism is that you've used the pictures from Sonic magazine that I bought, scanned, cropped, photoshopped and put online without as much as a mention even. OR previous notice or authorization. Hmm. That is not good nettiquette. So if you don't want to refer to where you got the pictures from I'm asking you kindly to remove them.

You really should have a disclaimer as well 'cause your site is full of copyrighted material.

Other than that... it's pretty much how and official site should look like.

@daniel - I didn't realize the story behind the pictures. I can credit you in my about page, if you still want me to remove them I gladly will. I actually have a link to your site in my links section and yep I do have a disclaimer page.

@ruth - All comments and criticism are welcome, anything to make the site better

@soundworld - could you let me know what i'm missing in my discography? i compiled it with info on amazon, eil, mattscdsingles and info i saved from the old CQD site . Also, I found the lyrics for 'first day in spring at http://threearts.net/Stina/main.html

@wirbel - this site is on the top of my links section.. also im thinking of removing the bb i set up and just changing the forums links to this bb (pending permission from this bb ) that way we just have one central bb for all Stina fans.

A credit would be nice tied to the pictures.

I did see your links-section and your about-section... but I dunno if your disclaimer is enough. I've done a lot of research on that... if you want some pointers send me a private message.

I like the site. could be a little more colourful though. and i do think there should be a link section. i'ts great all the videos are avaialble, but there might be indeed some copyright problems. It would be good to link this forum to this site and not another one.

Yeah, defintely colour would be good. Try out a couple or whatever, but if all else fails, remember black white and anyother colour - rock (pure opinion). There's so many hues and colours to chose from, pic whatever you like. I can see how you tried to coordinate the site with the gray n red Stina Pictures, but it just kills eyes, there's nothing to attract them.

Regarding the pictures, At least you know who to credit them to. But they lack, again, colour and though it's stina and that's all you need to love them, they aren't nice to look at. Maybe it's just me, but i need colour. Maybe new pics(?)
And something of interest, something that shows character and indiviuality. It's very well put together, but i look at it and i see "blah", it all looks the same. So just distinguish the pages, maybe each page have it's own colour theme, whatever.
and yeah, you should definitely have a link to this forum because it's already so big and the biggest around. Chances are not many here will go to that one, and that's alot of people. So just think about it.

To some excent all these questions depend of Canadian copyright laws (if the server is located there).

The "copyright laws" are however often unreasonable, so do stretch the facts as FAR as possible - and keep in mind that "fair use" is easier to proclaim if you put the media into a more selfcreated context.

But - putting the videos and longer samples of the songs could be problematic - same goes with the bio - as long as you don't quote parts of it "...." .

However, this is a Stina N. site not for a mainstream sell-out corporative artist.

Also: If it is possible one should try to credit the photographer, or/and possible the person who scanned it.

hmm.. i think colour is just a matter of personal preference but if I get more suggestions on making it a bit colourful.. i'll go ahead and revamp it (on a side note the site was designed for a 1024X768 resolution and today i checked it at lower resolutions and it did look crappy!)
As for copyright thingy i emailed Stina's record comanies, coz they are the best people to advice.. so i'll just wait for their verdict. But again it's just Stina and not some mainstream act like Kuhn said.

Really nice spacious site with everything clearly laid out.
Lack of colour isn't an issue with me but i would suggest that you write up your own biography of Stina as the "offical" one doesn't reveal much about Stina's life or career.

John did write his own biography at first. I told him to stick to the official one. IMHO the official one is always the best one although they seem centered around the last album.
