Paul McCartney boycotts China over dog and cat fur trade

Very disturbing news about the Chinese fur trade killing (and sometimes not)cats and dogs for their fur.
Warning...this is stomach churning stuff ;-

Paul & Heather were shown watching the video on the BBC six o'clock news.
The scenes were pretty shocking with crates of dogs and cats being deliberately dropped from a height for no reason at all.
What interests me is what happened to the dogs and cats after they've been skinned?
Still,at least i'm glad now that i've never eaten at a Chinese restaurant .....I always did wonder why you never saw a cat in the vacinity.

I didn't read the whole of the article, but i think I've got a good idea of the thing.
Somehow, I don't feel this is so great at all.
What does that mean, ok-McCartney won't play in China...And so what?
His fans won't see him play in China. And then?
As Chinese officials say, europe and the rest of the world will keep buying fur but chinese won't see Macca live.
The good thing is that he brings general opinion on that, but it doesn't feel completely right to me...
Please don't ge me wrong, I am also horrified of what they are doing to animals...

I'm also never quite satisfied with boycotting; but it does create some awareness; i think we shoul be a bit hesitant to buying anything from china, seeing how that country treats people, animals and nature in general; plus their plot to take over the world
I just think it's better to give your opinion and try to reason with people
