Rachael Yamagata mentions Stina

Hello all,
Rachael Yamagata mentions Stina in a new diary entry. She says she's listening to The World Is Saved by an artist called Stina Nordistam. Must be our Stina right?

I know about her
Yamagata = Japanese

Here's what i know...She's a singer/ piano player (i hate the word pianist).
Her voice is smooth, rich, sexy and comparable to Fiona Apple's at times. I heard it in a record shop and bought it after hearing her sing in the first song of the album.
However, i rarely listen to her now. She's very poppy, something i'm not always keen on. Her songs
all lack something, not quite sure what. depth, true talent?
I'll be listening to a song with my eyes closed and be like, "this is the greatest song in the world" then it'll hit the chorus or the bridge..and you want to throw it out the window. And you wonder why you bought it. But then later you have cravings for hearing it, even if you have to withstand those little parts. Her voice is her greatest endowment. And she's really good at ruining her own songs.
There are a few or couple of good songs tho. Nothing special i think. BUt that's just me.
I still can't say i regret buying her album as much as say...auf der maur (or however you spell it). That almost ended violently

I couldn't agree more.
She does remind me alot of Fiona Apple too. I bought Happenstance before my first Fiona album (EM), and I was completely surprised when i realized the similarity in their voices.
