immediately when i found out the official website had gone offline and was now linked to V2, i mailed those guys and asked them what the heck was going on. I finally got a reply, so i thought it'd be interesting to share:

Hello Harrie,

we are equally dissappointed that the site is no longer up and running. The fact is that the site was run by two of Stina's fans that have decided they no longer could run the site, which of course is a terrible shame. We would be very happy if someone else amongst her fans wanted to run her site and use teh stinenordnestam.com address for this. In the meantime most of the updates about Stina can be found on our website.

Maybe this clears up some answers and maybe some of us are interested to continue with stinanordenstam.com?

I guess it will depend on the fans wether a new Stina Nordenstam website will be up and running. Maybe the members of this board should put their heads together in order to create something.

Maybe together with Daniel, it seems that he's a heck of a website builder!

Thank you paulr. Well, I wanna have the site ready before I show it to anyone "official" and plus I want your ideas for it , everyone's ideas for it no matter how wild. Look at this thread http://www.paulsinnema.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33 and answer my convocatory.

It would be fun to have made the "official" Stina Nordenstam site ... but I need your help as well 'cause if I do it I want everyone to feel like they're truly a part of it. And since it seems that the SN internet-community is pretty small it shouldn't be that hard a task. I know I can design a better website than then one that was ... but I need you to help me get ideas for it's content. Then we could present it to the "officials" as a unity ... what do you say?

Like it or not, I think the album needs a themed website with features multimedia, photos and maybe a Q&A section too. The content itself will never be as huge as, say, a Bj?rk page taken SN's non-mediated profile. For example. I still remember how thrilling the creation of the awesome Bj?rk.com web site was, if we're able to create such a exiting thing for Stina it would be fantastic!

For now, I feel something is indeed missing as far as TWIS is conserned. A really TWIS themed site that presents the album in an effective and not at least stina-ish way would be great. Promotion on the internet is, like it or not, key. Personally I always look for the band's official pages hoping it is possible to find further information or some music or video samples.

I would also love the idea of in the future, when the next album is released, to then creature a even larger and info packed SN page.

I was thinking about setting up a SN team or something, and everyone wanting to is of course welcome to join, I would like to keep things democratic in the true sense of the word.

Daniel, I really like your graphical work, so care to join in? So far pgss and alx5962 are already a part of an ad hock team.

I own the "World Is Saved" domain too, could that be used?

I guess that every project of stina deserves it's own themed page.

That would be a good idea, and of course a logical and great way to separate the albums and other work.

Exactly Kuhn, we can make a page within the context of each album. That would be doing justice to them. And we could offer the results to Stina and her manager for review. Maybe they'll be interested to use it for the official homepage.

So what kind of things do we want in an Stina website?
I was thinking myself about a complete discography, lyrics, snippets of music and videos, promotional photographs, interviews with quotes about that certain album etc.

That sounds like the "Long Gone Before Daylight" special I did for The Cardigans.

It is what I'm doing for the SN site as well I might add ... but I'd rather not start predicting too much about things before my site is done ... april 1st it is...

and a newssection, updated on a regular basis. not once every 6 months saying "there a lot of things going on and more news soon" and then silence (sounding familiar?)

and maybe, like on bj?rk's site, a special, sorta microsite, on every album. with interviews from the particular period (if available [disguise] ) picture, profiles of the musicians and producers involved etc.
the mainsite could be TWIS style, like Daniel already did. Ofcourse this forum should be connected to it, and maybe we can make an email-newsletter about updates and stuff. and to top it of: an online webstore with goodies (wigs, sunglasses, t-shirts, etc. )
