If you like Stina, you might like Nina Hynes although they are very different. She is an irish independent artist who released her first record in 1999 and puts new tracks up on myspace quite often.

thanks for bringing her to my attention; very nice indeed; i downloaded some mp3's from her website and looked at her myspace. she doesn't remind me of Stina allthough it sounds a bit mysterious sometimes; it sounds more like tara jane o'neill or blanket but then more rock music

Still very much worth checking out, Nina Hynes! This is music that you really learn to appreciate; mono-prix and universal are two great tracks that can be downloaded from http://www.ninahynes.com. I got her first album Creation (only 7 tracks long) just before the vacation and have listened to it a couple of times now and it's really very atmospheric, dark, dreamy, electronic rock folk from Ireland.
Currently she's recording a new album with the Husbands which can be expected in autumn. On the website you can pre-order the album and prepay which will help pay for the production of the album; a good idea
