Let's look a bit forward to this year. Who will attract some attention in 2006 with a quality album?

My guess is that Siobhan Donaghy finally will get the attention she deserves. Her first album Revolution in Me hasn't brought the success it deserved. Siobhan Donaghy used to be a member of the Sugababes (she sung most vocals of "Overload") but left before the Sugababes made it big. Her first soloalbum contained songs like an indie-Massive-Attack.

Parlophone now has signed Siobhan and she will release a new album this year. A new track can be previewed here

At first i thought you wrote Sugarcubes

I thought it was weird because i was going to say i hope Bjork gets something new out this year.

Also, hopefully Joanna Newsom gets a new album out sometime this year.


I just listened to Siobhan's song and it was really good. She is beautiful.
