You're mistaken !
........its a traditional Russian folk song melody with words by some semi-famous american who's name i've forgotten.
Macca produced it though.

bizarre coincidence - in wismar there occasionally turns up a 6 man choir dressed up in ussr cossack uniforms and they sing russian songs in the square... and lo and behold what do i hear them singing this time around...
