So it seems like I stumbled onto your site a bit too late to take advantage of the videos that you all seem to have in your collection. The only stina video I have ever seen is the recent Get On With Your Life video. If someone knows how I might get these videos (since apparently video posting is no longer allowed) please send me a private message and I'd be glad to talk with you. Thank you sincerely.

Welcome Anhaga. YouTube is a good place to start. But you can also visit StinaNordenstam.net. That website has most of the videos in the media section.

Here's how to grab videos from YouTube, Google Video, etc. This looks like a lot of instructions but it isn't - if you're on broadband, the whole process will take slightly less than ten of your Earth minutes (dialup will obviously be slower).

1) You want the web browser Mozilla Firefox. If you're reticent about changing from Internet Explorer et al, don't be. After half an hour you'll wonder how you ever lived without Firefox. Get it from this link:

2) Now go to -

and grab and install the FLV player. When installing, be sure to select the 'associate with FLV files' option.

3) Once you've installed both programs, go here:-

and install the VideoDownloader Firefox extension (first green box with an arrow on it). This will add a little blue icon on the bottom-right corner of the browser window.

4) Next time you're watching a video that you want to keep, left-click the little blue icon on the bottom right hand corner. This will open the video downloader. Now, what you have to do is RIGHT-CLICK the 'download link' button and pick 'save link as'. The downloader tends to call everything something like "get_video" so you have to rename the file yourself. Be sure to add ".flv" on the end, i.e. get_video becomes GiveMeMoreOfEverything.flv

5) That should be that. To change your flv files to something more convenient like mpegs, you'll need a file converter like Switch. There are loads of free file converters on the web, take your pick.

PS. - pgss - what's the correct pronunciation of 'Enschede?' Nigel from Half Man Half Biscuit sings it as "En-ske-day".

total Video Converter (a shareware software) is able to convert .flv to avi.
I'm using it a lot as flv is not a very nice format to watch on everyone's computer.

"En-ske-day" is the typical way that foreign people would pronounce Enschede. But instead of "ske" it should be pronounced with a loud some sort of grunted / growled g. More like "En-sggge-day".

If other dutchies would have a good idea how to describe it.... but my boyfriend says that explaining it best should be through a soundfile. So I'll try to record one in the coming days.
