Funny.. it seems that more and more artists who are more or less dissapointed in (or dumped by) the majors sign to V2. Maybe Fiona Apple should join V2 too, so we finally can hear the rest of her unreleased "Extra Ordinary Machine"

the other great haven for ex major casualties is sanctuary records - just check their site for a who's who of whoever was. (say that after a couple of glasses of wine! }

Hahaha, yeah i guess i never did. I loved her since "Hoodoo" It has been mine favourite for years, played it practically everyday. "Essex" was a little to commercial, but she regained my trust totally when "Hometime" came. And to think Sony wouldn't release the album, because it was to uhm experimental or something. It went gold in the UK and got raving critics. How wrong Sony can be. (again and again) I'm happy for Alison she left Sony and signed with Sanctuary.
I still have to get used to "Voices". I think not all the covers where good choices to do. But i guess i have to listen to it more often.

Good news eh?

Yep good news indeed. I'm very curious about her new sound. The collaboration with Nick Lowe seems to be good news.

I've listened to a few of the new Tanita tracks and I am impressed. She's back at the folky sound she had on her debut. Listen them here
