As the lack of news about Stina and everything surrounding this leads to almost no news I'm thinking about the main subject of the board so please give your feedback.

Well, I think you probably know my opinion on that already, Alex - I've always felt the focus should be on us and our many and varied interests, with a thread devoted to Stina. However, that was back in the day when the regular group was bigger, livlier and much more talkative than it is now.

I think much depends on what happens over at the new Stina site.

I've voted 'yes' simply because Stina is the one interest we all have in common.

It's very quiet here as it is........if we are to lose the one common factor that unites us in the first place then its going to become a whole lot quieter.

But as Elizabeth says, a lot depends on whats going to happen with Stina's new official site, specifically if there is going to be a message board or not.

Agree with RobB.I don't think all the old folk are going to rush back suddenly because the link with Stina has been severed .I think ultimately it might lead to more bad blood because we'll have lost focus.
Speaking for myself,I don't feel as if I share the same musical interests-except for Stina- as anyone else here essentially,so I wouldn't feel much incentive to stay unless there were fountains of sparkling wit and repartee,which has been a tad lacking over the last couple of years .

Thats true enough,Dave............................Everyone else here likes to listen to decent music!

Oh the sparkling wit.....I do believe its coming back.

I also think the forum is centered around our interest in Stina; and apparently that leads to a group of people who enjoy being together on this forum and who can share their other interests, not necessarily the same, but still from the same starting point. I've always enjoyed how good we treat each other here lots of other forums are quite impersonal; here it feels like you're among friends

My thought about this poll is to focus only on Stina doesn't help to attract new members. If we want this place to be alive in the future, one of the answer is to be wider in our subjects.
I spent a lot of time to move the message board so now I wish to bring more life here. So if you have ideas, they are all welcome.

I think there will be a lot more interest here once Stina releases album 7.

There must be hundreds......if not thousands of message boards that already exist which cater for 'wider subjects' so I can't really see how this board would attract users away from those other boards to post here!

The real problem is that Stina simply isn't a popular artist and the amount of activity here reflects that situation.

Now, if this was a Kylie message board......

So we better see what exactly makes this board a great place to be and promote that.
For me it's nice not to have too many members. It makes the group recognizable and gives a friendly atmosphere; so we should try to make new people feel comfortable right away, by following up on their posts for example and asking them something, so they feel they can contribute something. For me this group of people being small and sharing an interest in Stina is enough to attract more people if they only feel more welcome.

And other interests could be similar 'nordic' artists like Emiliana, Anja, Anna and such you get the idea
