Ideally my favourites list would be a hundred, minimum.

Hehe I nearly put Night of the Hunter.Amazing sets-and so chilling.'Leaning,leaning...' *shudders*
(Fisher King-I can't stand Robin Williams so I hated that.)

'Night of the Hunter' is quite unique, there's nothing else in the whole of American cinema like it. I wonder if Laughton knew what he was making? Amazing to think that his one picture as director came out a pure work of genius.

I love and hate Robin Williams depending on the movie. I thought he was charming and very funny in The Fisher King, and handled the tragic aspect of his character extremely well. It's a very delicate line he walks in that movie.

I thought he was just about OK playing one of my heroes,Oliver Sacks, in 'Awakenings'...

What about ten most hated films?
One of mine-The Cook,the thief,his wife and her lover.

I read Carrie a few years ago and i really liked it, I just saw the last half on a classic movie channel yesterday. It was pretty good

You must see the whole 'Carrie' at some point, it's a great, great film. Brian de Palma can have a wincingly unsubtle touch at times, but it's used very effectively here. The central performance of Sissy Spacek as Carrie is really what lifts the film out of the ordinary - she is quite heartbreaking, so much so that when she flips at the prom you actually feel like cheering her. She is mesmerising all the way through the film.

Piper Laurie as her demented Christian mother is fab, a gloriously camp piece of acting that you won't forget in a hurry.
