I love 'Come to me'-it symbolises everything that's cutting edge in Stina's music,which went out of the window in the safe 'This is'.

it's beautifully haunting.

As good as the song might be, consider this thought, PAS was meant to be an album of cover versions, so why one original track? I think Treat Me nice would have been a better fit as it was in keeping with the album concept.

that's true, but in my opinion, Treat Me Nice isn't nearly as gorgeous or remarkable as Come To Me, so i'm perfectly happy with it's inclusion on PAS.

again, i definitely see where you're coming from but, i'm quite attatched to CTM

I love the roughness of Treat Me Nice and it seems to go so well with the vibe of other tracks off PAS. Come To Me always seemed better to me taken out of the PAS context - it would have been more suited to The Photographer's Wife EP...

to be honest, I still don't have People Are Strange (or MOAC for that matter) so i couldn't tell you if Come To Me fit or not. I don't really think it fits on Photographer's Wife either though :/ it probably would have worked best as its own single.

(the reason i don't have PAS or MOAC is because i like to stagger the purchasing of albums by my favorite artists so i have a chance to listen to each record fully and i still have something from her that i haven't heard. hope that makes sense lol)

I loved PAS for I Dream Of Jeannie, Reason To Believe and I Came So Far For Beauty. I love the rough guitar playing of Stina

As with most Stina albums,there's no reason for TMN not to be included except for
a) some concept of completeness/wholeness with the finished CD in the running order as is (which is bollocks since anybody can programme a CD however they want)
b) (more likely) Stina didn't want to include it
c) It was a demo made before the PAS sessions proper
d) (conspiracy theory) maximum BUSINESS.You'll have to buy this one separately!

Things become ludicrous with This Is,only 31'59" in my CD player.All of Stina's B-sides could have fitted on that.

The alternative is to buy them all and then do what I do-put them on a huge heap of things to listen to (in my case,half of which is work),so I might get around to hearing it before it's deleted

I used to be happy not to have every album yet for the same reason, but buying a new one every year on vacation in scandinavia (where they're more easier to find). The last one to add to my collection was PAS, which i got a few years back, but i'm glad my collection is complete now until the new album comes out...

I'm getting a bit completist with Stina now.Today I got the 12" of the Little Star remixes (BZet etc),just because I didn't have a legit copy of them,and because I hadn't got that cover with the volume knob on.What a saddo.

And some of the remixes are quite atmospheric. I think the dub version would do it best. Also still in search of that 12" although not very active.. I guess it's the last thing what is missing here.. well except maybe for the MOAC LP

Treat Me Nice should just have been included as a regualr track not replacing anyother. I was thinking TMN was (i thought i read that somewhere) her first try in the proces for making PAS?
