Barrett, I think I remember Dave talking on the board a while back about having transferred a lot of his vinyl to digital. Perhaps you'll find him more helpful, and not quite so unfriendly as the above link.

From here it looks a bit hostile,Alex,hard on the heels of your response to someone's plea to make the board skin more legible."justgoogleit" would have sufficed.

Anyway,yes I've done heaps of vinyl-digital transfers.If you've got Windows there's a lot of available software-I would search something like Versiontracker using 'vinyl' as a search term,and you can pick and choose.
For Mac-which I know about- there's a thing called CD Spindoctor which comes bundled with Toast (which costs) which will do the job with LPs,although I find it buggy and subject to crashing a lot.
Much better-and maybe available for Windoze-is The Analogue Ripper,or TAR,which lets you do things like record your 33s at 45 rpm,(and then converts the speed back again-saves time),automatically separate tracks,and so on.It doesn't offer any kind of filter system to clean up your LPs,alas.For that you need some more software and I haven't come acroos anything better than Amadeus-which is pricey and quite hi-tech with the physics.
What you also need is a way of transferring to the computer.I record LPs etc onto a minidisc and then plug that straight into the Mac ready to go through TAR,but that's quite time-consuming.You can now buy record players which will plug into the computer for just such a job,but that's more expense,and I've no idea if they're any good.If you've got some kind of preamp which has a connection to go straight into your computer,you're all set up.
So it's all a bit time-consuming,but worth it in the end.I've gradually reduced my vinyl collection from c.2000 LPs to about 500,by transferring them and selling the vinyl on eBay-so you can make some expense back if you're lucky.

Oh - OK hon, many apologies. I've had my sense of humour misconstrued to disastrous effect on this board several times, so I feel ya.

I managed to get my beloved unreleased Superior album Germ Free transferred onto CD via my partner's lap top, no idea how he did it but it involved some program off the net.
