Talk about a revolution!

Hiya,
Now I have been working very hard recently and I have not had the time to look at the old website for sometime. The last thing I expected when I went there was World War 3. I have looked at the old forum and read some of the comments but have no clue what is going on.
On this basis I have decided to list a few questions and see if people can answer them as clearly as possible.
1) What's happened?
2) What do we do next?
3) Where can I read all the current musings of all the old gang, where have they all gone?
4) Is Angels really the best song of the last 25 years? (I kinda can answer this one all on my own.
Anyway hello and perhaps goodbye to all the old gang who remember me from the early days. I always tried to pop in once in a while to catch up on all the gossip. It would be sad not to know where they have all gone.

I think most of the "old gang" have made it over here although one or two have dragged their feet

As for your questions,here are my uninformed answers [:o]
1) Very few seem to know,and those who do,aren't saying. For my sins i sent Veronique a few PM's containing various questions and observations.Some were answered (kind of) and most were diplomatically side-stepped or ignored. But reading between the lines,sometimes a lot can be learned not by what is being said but what isn't being said.
My personal view is that there has been some kind of falling out between Stina and Veronique ( or at least, a big disagreement regarding the running of CQD) although apparently they are still in phone contact. I certainly don't buy into the "official" guff about wanting to move on and do other things.They could easily have done that and still maintain the CQD site.
2) Wait i suppose until another "official" website is created.
3) Where have the musings gone?.....or where have the "old gang" gone?
For the latter see 1) ........for the former,none of the old CQD postings have been deleted i wouldn't have thought. I also suspect that a few clicks of the CQD mouse could put everything back to how it was again. But i also suspect that its going to take one or two head strong people to backdown and compromise for that to happen.
Then again,maybe after 10 years the CQD team did genuinely want to cut links with the past and move onto pastures new.
........and maybe pigs do fly. [:xx]

i feel fit only to answer the last question....
as a lifelong joy division fan, 'love will tear us apart' should have go it!! [tup]
actually joy division's 'atmosphere' should have got it!
on reflection however 'angels' is a very very good song (and i'm no robbie fan), and speaking technically very well composed.
actually now i feel fit to answer q.2 - endevour to make desire ave. a cool place to hang out. and in that i think it's succeeding!

I was pretty surprised when I went to see what was going on on the old site, and found that it had been shut down .... glad to see some of the old names still around on this new forum - work keeps me that busy that I don't get chance to log on too often, but good to see there are still fans out there !

Hi Paul - yeah, I used to be pretty active on the old board, but the pressures of work mean that I don't get many chances to log on these days !
