I wonder if Stina will turn up unannounced for a live performance to do her b'v's?

The thought did cross my mind, but if she was going to show, I think Stockholm would be more likely than Brum.

Saw David Sylvian in the week - fantastic gig.

Great version of 'Wonderful World' - David did Stina's vocals, with a backing tape of Stina for the doo doo doo's

Discovered this one whilst up in Skye.

Ok - after a few listens I'm loving it, especially the remix of Wonderful world with vocals and double bass to the fore.

Ordered it off Amazon this morning, mainly to get the 'Birds' track.

Nick Drake's story is very tragic.
It's true - the drugs don't work.

I only recently discovered he is lived a few miles from my house and I've become a big fan.

If you listed all of the artists who quote Nick as an influence, I am sure a lot of them would feature on the favourite artists list of ...

One of the most unintentionally funny films I ever saw was the subtitled version of Almodovar's 'Woman on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown' which single-handedly introduced the curse "Brummer!" into the English language.

There were many other innovations, which I no longer recall.

Gerry - you are spot on - even more so live. Any good musical bits were overshadowed by on-stage tomfoolery, gooning and gurning.

Save the money and get the latest Astrid Williamson LP instead - that's cool.

But why are her CD's (with the exception of 'from gardens..) so hard to get hold of ?

Have to say that I saw them live in 92 at the erstwhile Hummingbird in Brum and was underwhelmed.

Best things were the Tshirts and inflatable merchandise.

Worst was the icelandic support band, Ham who did a death metal version of Abba's 'voulez vous' I still have it on flexi disc somewhere.
