I was listening to Late Junction on BBC radio 3 a couple of nights ago (the same programme where I heard Stina for the first time), and a track by this guy absolutely riveted my attention. It's not often I hear something that makes me go

Anyone heard of him? Amazing voice/phrasing. I think I'm in love.

Yeah,nice,and I like the way he's tuned his guitar too!
Oddly enough his sound reminds me a little of the Gnarls Barkley singer...

The trouble with listening to Late Junction/Mixing It/whatever is that it sends you off on these exciting new pathways.I've got far too much music to listen to (let alone play) already.

Music has really taken a back seat for me over the last couple of years, apart from Stina and Tori and some old favourite classical stuff. I'm just not interested in exploring anymore, which is why it's nice to know that something I'm hearing for the first time can still make me go

and want to find out more.

I can't stop listening to the tracks on this guy's myspace page. I'm gonna have to get the EPs, methinks.

Too me -listening to Lunar- it sounds like a mix between the guy that often sings with the Coco Rosie sisters and Davendra Banhart. I think he fits well in this genre of music (there's a name for it...). Some of it I like but it's really something i can like or really dislike.
