Here's a Swedish singer-songwriter that knows how to do it: she's asking people to donate money for her new album on her website and myspace (which will at least get you into the album credits!); a good idea if you ask me. The music sounds pretty good too; the single "It's just love" of her latest album was sung together with Bernard Butler, former member of Suede. Her website is like a personal blog with tracks playing in good quality. And it's even got it's piece of fake news that she's climbed one of the world's highest mountains (as published on 'fantasinyheter' (meaning fantasynews))

I don't really have any desire to listen to an artist that isn't trying to make me pay for their music. it just seems kind of lame because anyone and their mother can make a myspace music page and call themselves a real band..

so you're saying that what's defining someone as an artist is that they should have a record label supporting them; i think that it's quite good in this time of record companies making a loss that artists find their own way of support.

btw she has a record company and already produced two albums -by herself!

What a ridiculous statement.There are literally millions of musicians out there who don't have record contracts,simply because they don't play what the industry deems fashionable music.A great many of them are vastly superior musicians to the trendy ones who get the deals.

i didn't say anything about a record company, if an artist puts a CD out by themselves or offers it for digital download i'd be much more inclined to buy their music because they know it's worth something and they know i'll buy it.

although if it's by someone i like i'd much rather buy a CD. i don't do iTunes, if i want to download a CD i'll just use soulseek.

You'll be lucky........in the good old days if a fly entered the airspace around CQD Towers, V would have her machine gun posts located in the towers shoot it down.
Visitors were not exactly welcome.

Of course,none of this has much to do with Sofia Talvik.

i think Sofia was one of the first people who added Stina on myspace, i'm sure she was in Stina's top 8 before i hid the top friends box.

Swedish artist have a great admiration for Stina I think; Anna Ternheim has mentioned this as well. It's interesting to hear!
