Well,i never found the single,but the b sideTHE END OF A LOVE AFFAIR(FAULTLINE REMIX) which is what i wanted,was on the US release,so i bought that.And of course it had the bonus track FAILING TO FLY,and that dreadful Pluxus remix...sssshhhhh dont tell dave.

ohhhhhhhh...you mean the Parliament Sq. single with the far superior The Knife remix.Yes,i finally found someone willing to accept cash on good old ebay,and immediately made a copy of the album substituting Stinas dirge for the much more upbeat Knife version.

I actually like both versions.....the Stina singing like a woman version and Stina singing like a bloke version.

I heard that. But I think just the same about the Pluxus as it happens.Most remixes of Stina are pointless,but the Faultine one is an improvement,IMHO.

If I could authorize a re-mix then it would be for the entire 'This Is Stina Nordenstam' album........I'd love to hear that album without Stina's vocals......in fact,to hear the music exactly how Stina would have heard it as she began laying down her vocals.

I'd like to remix that album too,but for different reasons from yours,RobB I'd like to get it back to what Stina envisaged before Mitchell Froom shat all over it,and hire a half-decent set of musicians to play it,plus Jonas Nystrom to fit it with some class arrangements.

I like the innocent childlike playfulness of the performances.
Less is definately more on 'This Is'
.....and remove Stina's vocals and there would be even more less!!
