I picked up the 4cd Lullabies To Violaine compilation ridiculously cheap yesterday and have been playing it full blast all day, particularly Aikea Guinea, Rilkean Heart, Bluebeard and Tishbite. I'd forgotten just how much I love this group, which is a terrible thing to admit to forgetting!!!!
Mind you I always dig out the Snow E.P. every Christmas as their two versions of Winter Wonderland and Frosty The Snowman are to die for and so much more than just mere seasonal songs when coupled to their sound.
I've discovered, while wasting time on the net, that Roisin Murphy has covered one of my all time favourite Cocteau songs, Summerhead, but I cannot find it anywhere. I'd love to know how it sounds!
(now I am off to place very nasty curses on the sod who outbid me on Portishead's Numb single - the b*st*rd)
