Considering that Stina hasn't completed any music that we know of since then (the Filur/Magasin/Tarantula stuff was all done beforehand),I find that thread to be pretty depressing.
Such a shame.

I never quite no where to sit with the whole, when on earth is a
Artist going to get around to releasing a new record, and
being interested in knowing what kind of a person they are.
Two things strike me though, firstly it does seem that with the
Internet, it has never been easier for artistes to put out
their music, whether backed by a record company or management
or simply on their own. So whether Stina has management or not
should not be such a hindrance.
Whether or not she has been inspired to write something is another question, as is whether she can actually afford to record it.
I am a big fan of Giant Drag, and it has been kind of depressing to
Read about Annie Hardy’s struggles to cobble the monies together to release a new record (basically asking fans to help by donating monies and buying stuff).
Secondly, whilst it would be cool to think that Stina was this loveable likeable bundle of creativity and generally niceness, if she isn’t well I am not too worried, our life paths are not likely to cross any time soon, and as Mr Lennon once said
‘Whatever it takes to get you through the night’
That said it would be nice to hear something about whether a new record is on the way.
Mind you I heard Kevin Shields talking on the radio the other day, about the “new” My Bloody Valentine record, and I am sure he has been telling us about this for at least the last 3 years, so less talking and more doing would be good.

i'm pretty depressed by the fact that it seems like there was an entire new album ready to be released and then nothing happened after the Coming Soon placeholder was put up.

Well,aermancer,even before TWIS was released,Stina was reported to be already working on the follow-up to it-this was in 2003.I wonder what happened to that,let alone any music she's worked on since 2004?
Actually I don't particularly mind the lack of any visible product.I'm more concerned that Stina is fulfilling herself. Back in the CQD days she said (I have a recording of her saying it) 'I need to be creative in order to survive'.I just hope that's happening for her; Stina seems to thrive on collaboration/meeting; and the lack of a manager is going to make those meetings harder to come by.
