Hello Paul,
Yes, it's true that the world needs a more comprehensive fansite for Stina... also includes a music library of her unreleased tracks, remixes, and b-sides. No matter if there will be new material from Stina, I WANT the site to be some kinda MUSEUM to tribute one and only STINA!!!
I am willing to contribute and work with you for the site. I am a DJ in Hong Kong, and have an web-based programer to assist. I can contribute to scan her three books - Dynamite Books & CQD, and convert the video This Time, John for site... how does it sounds???

If anyone does put the scans of the CQD book up, could you put a link here? There were some very good photos/images made for the book as I recall, and I've lost the only printout I had of my story. I wanted to go back to it and see if I could re-write it into something decent quite recently, and can't find my copy anywhere.

Well, I have the book (where your story is rendered almost completely illegible by artwork ) and the original scans (much clearer but missing some of the material- including your story ) so I could scan/send those direct to you thru email as pdfs if you like?

Bugger, yeah, I forgot about that. Is it really difficult to make out the text? I'd just like to see if it could be reworked and made into something vaguely worthwhile, to add to the stories I've written since. The version I submitted was literally the first rough draft, written the weekend before the deadline closed. It was far from ideal but I think there was a kernel of something interesting in it that I'd like to reappraise, I suppose.

I can't receive any email at the moment as I don't have my internet connection, I'm using Kate's wireless connection and I don't know if she'd be OK with me using her email address. I'll text her tonight and ask.

Does that mean everyone who contributed would have to scan their original artwork and put it up separately? I can't remember who officially owns the copyright to the book actually, is it Stina or CQD?

Why? Anyone who wasn't a fan of Stina's at the time the book was released has no way to get it now, unless of course that's the whole point

If you can procure a copy of the CQD book (or Explosives and Desire) for me I will gladly spend the money to have a tangible copy rather than just seeing it online.

Otherwise, sharing is caring as far as I'm concerned.

Looking back on the publication of the CQD Book I remember there were some moans and groans (including me [angel] )with regards to how the various contributions were presented but I guess we were aall guilty of beiong a little too precious about our work then.

Fast forward a few years and this morning I was reading through the book and I just think how wonderful it is.
Now I can fully appreciate all the hard work that Berit & Veronique put into the design and compilation of the book.
Sadly I don't think they got enough credit or thanks at the time but with hindsight the book stands as a lasting and fitting tribute to the small but loyal community of Stina fans at CQD.

Equally sadly,its very unlikely that such a venture between Stina and her fans will happen again!
But those were the days......

The book must be as rare as hens teeth.
Mine was # 6/25 but were there more than 25 copies produced?
I guess Stina signed the first 25 copies but I can't remember now if there was another batch published.

I have mixed feelings over whether the book should ever be placed on the internet.
Certainly everyones permission would have to be sought and received (including Stina's as she has original work produced in the book) and I'm not sure that would be possible now as many of the contributors have long since disappeared off the scene.
