I really like "Little Star" but it wasn't the first song I heard by her. That was "Get On With Your Life", which intrigued me to listening to her more. But... when I did hear "Little Star", I didn't recognise it from Romeo and Juliet even though I had seen that film 3 times before I heard the song. I need to watch the film again.
It's the balance between Different and provoking a feeling of curiousity and being accessible enough for a first time Stina listener.

Now I think it's sweet on the outer layer yet depressive and full of sadness with a touch of Stina's consistent honesty.
"TROAB" is "highly poetic", I noticed that. For that I appreciate it, even though it's a highly unpopular song on this forum. It's nice to hear a positive opinon of it.

This reminds me of a thread we had on CQD a few years back and I remember writing then that I'd seen R&J on the telly and that I only heard a few brief seconds of 'Little Star' (from memory slightly remixed and played in the background when Juliet was lying on her bed).
Maybe Little Star is more heavily featured in some versions of the film than others but I'm not surprised that you don't remember LS from the film.
To be honest I was surprised that Stina's song was in such a big film yet it didn't push her anyway near to the spotlight and people still haven't noticed or discovered her. Or wondered "who sings that beautiful song in the background?, I'll check her other stuff".

Last night I finally got to watch the dvd of Romeo + Juliet and it does seem that the only usage of 'Little Star' was just the three times repeated words of 'Little Star',with the vocals sounding like they were recorded in an echo chamber.
And thats that. Its so easy to miss them that i suspect a lot of people wondered what 'Little Star' was doing on the soundtrack album.
I can't be that evil...
