'Everyone Else In The World' promo film info

Last Sunday I made contact with film director Dusan Tolmac, the gentleman who was responsable for the filming of the promotional film for 'Everyone Else In The World'.

The film was shot in Brixton, London over two days in June 2001 and that the actress playing the daughter was Tamsin Egerton in a very early role.

Some more info relating to the film.......

By the time Dusan Tolmac found out about this project there was only one song left, 'Everyone Else in The World'.

Dusan: ' I received the song in the afternoon and was so moved by it that I wrote a two page script the same day,submitted it to the label and had it approved, all within twenty four hours.'

The promo was filmed on 16mm by cinematographer Balazs Bolygo over two days in Brixton in June 2001.
The production designer was Naomi Reed and the film editor was Elise Traversi.

The cast were:
daughter ~ Tamsin Egerton
mother ~ Alex Reid*
boyfriend ~ Darrell Marriott

Dusan had been a fan of Stina's since her 'And She Closed Her Eyes' album. At the time he made the promo film, the album was still being called 'Welcome To Happiness'.

When he finally heard the entire album, 'Everyone Else In The World' turned out to be his favourite song.

This was obviously in the days when Stina responded to people and did things quickly.

I'm sure i've read somewhere Stina being quoted as saying something along the lines of that she was shown the ideas and approved them but in this instance it may have just been the label who gave the go ahead? Dusan was clear that it was the label who approved it as opposed to Stina. Afterwards Stina was a bit sniffy about the film project but hopefully this was one that she did approve of.
