Yesterday was my friend's birthday, and a group of ten of us were hanging out at this bar/restaurant. We had just finished eating and were finishing our beers, chatting away and having general birthday fun. The place was kind of noisy but there was some music playing and it took me a full minute to believe what it was - Hopefully Yours! Our server told me that the bartender was the one who played it, so I just had to go talk to him. I thanked him for playing it and we had a nice little chat about the new album.
Last week I heard Emiliana Torrini's Sunny Road on the radio in a hardware store in the Netherlands, how bout that? never heard her here on radio or on music tv before...
once i wanted to wake at 3am for some serious study in Australia, and i had an alarm clock which operated by radio....woke up from marvellous dreams to the entire album of ASCHE..without introduction or commentary, just this album full of memories...unsurprisingly my studies never got done that day...
that's a really wonderful story whatis! i still need to hear Stina on radio some time, cause i haven't even heard her on radio in scandinavia.. but then again, i mostly listen to her cd's and don't listen to the radio that much...
so i'm glad to see some dutch fans here on the forum!
