Well, you need to go back a bit farther than that.
'Rikki' famously took the opening riff from Horace Silver's 'Song for my Father', a direct act of homage. Dan (one of my favourite bands!) referenced a lot of jazz in their time (and have been sued for plagiarism because of it).
Whether or not Stina borrowed it consciously is another matter. I spotted the riff the first time I heard 'GOWYL', but since it's using root and 5th in a fairly simple rhythm, anyone could have come up with it independently.
Here is the original original, worth hearing on any count, but especially for Joe Henderson's great sax solo-I use it with my pupils as a classic example of how to build an improvisation.
