Taken from the Melody Maker,issue dated 26th September 1992, this was probably Stina's very first press interview for a UK publication......and probably near enough the last as well !!!

Thanks for posting that Rob, I hadn't seen it before. It's interesting how consistent she's been in her wariness of the public aspects of being a musician, and the belief that playing songs live over and over again somehow diminishes them. I totally disagree with her about that as a listener, but I can imagine it might very well be true for the performer.
I love that she placed a distinct importance on the words/language from the start, too, because that's the part of her songwriting that I really admire so much. If she was a poet rather than a songwriter I'd love her way with words just as much; the music is always a complement, but for me it wouldn't be necessary.
