Stina in Mew's concert screen footage

This has probably been flagged up before but when Mew performed live the song 'Her Voice Is Beyond Her years', a film featuring Stina singing her contribution (as on the studio recording) was shown on a screen behind the band.

Shame the sound is so terrible on that but thanks for putting it up, RobB. Be good to see a hi-res version. The band look very boring visually, so having Stina doing her glove puppets is welcome .

Actually, I wouldn't mind a pair of those mittens as a Christmas prezzie.....they look very warm.

It is a shame about the audio quality. On YT there are better sounding live recordings of the song.....but alas, no actual footage.

It would be interesting to know just when Mew introduced this screen footage into their live set?

'Her Voice Is Beyond Her Years' was released in May 2000 as a track on their "Half the World is Watching Me" album.

Roughly a year later Stina made a very similar styled appearance for the promotional film of her own song, 'Circus'.

Maybe the former inspired the latter?

I bought it back then thinking I would include a profound feature on Stina and her work on the album, but it was nothing more than 1 minute of Stina waving her muffs in front of her face (like in this video).

Stina's brief appearance is followed immediately by 12 year old Becky Jarrett, who doesn't look too dissimilar to how Stina looked on that Swedish tv show in 1989?

This clip has a lot better live sound and is more professionally filmed, but unfortunately you see and hear less of Stina. Grrrrrrrr..........
