Have you heard of this German band, three guys and a girl in the lead. They make interesting compostions that are unconventional and launched themselves by selling selfburned copies of their first songs. Their first hit 'Reklamation' sold 500.000 copies and together with the video was one of the statements that not everything should be commercially engineered, cause people will eventually 'want their life back'.
They have their new album out now, and allthough it's all in German you should really check it out, the videos are great to watch and their new single 'Gekommen um zu bleiben' (come to stay) is a very interesting variation on 20s/30s music with a similar video
it's a fun video to another feelgood song by this eastgerman band. The video is in the style of the famous Tintin comic book!

the opener on the album 'wenn es passiert' ('if / when it happens'.. dig the possibilities the two meanings have to offer) is a pretty cool track.
they also have a dvd with a game where you can choose which band member plays which instrument on their song 'nur ein wort' ('just one word'). watching ths singer play drums while the bass player sings just has to be seen.
they can get a but cutesy annoying sometime thoughs. watch their documentary about how the album was made and you'd think it was bunnies and marshmellows all the way. and when you know the singer and the drummer are an item, well, what's murphy's law again?!
