Worst film ever

has somebody seen "The story of the Eye" (writer- Georges Bataille) and can that person tell me if that film is also one of the worst ever? (i loved the book)

You should try Extreme Measures. Hugh has an interesting role in that movie, starring opposite of Gene Hackman.

Despite being a huge Bj?rk fan at the time of the release (nowadays I never listen to her again since the release of the dreadful Medulla and the even worse Drawing Restraint)....

I think that Dancer in the Dark is the worst movie ever. I fell asleep in the movietheatre while watching it. I bought it on dvd (it was on sale) but I never bothered to give it another try. [:xx]

Bj?rk shouldn't experiment too much but rather stick to what she's good at: making indie-popsongs.

I have to disagree Paul,but only to say that 'Dancer' is the most depressing film I've ever seen. [cry] So I think I'll avoid Mr von Trier's others.

And Dacer in the Dark is pretty damn awesome!!! I have only had the heart to see it twice.

I saw Dancer In The Dark 5 times at the movie theater

So beautiful and heartbreaking story, maybe some people just haven't noticed the beauty of love behind the drama.

About Dogville, you must notice at first the high level of talent of the actors because with only few backgrounds they told a story; so it's mainly an actor performance movie at first. We recognize well the man who imagined the Dogma rules here.

But I admit we may need more datas than only to movie to fully appreciate those movies.

I've seen The Idiots as well, so that's three data to fully appreciate them [crazy] All first rate, in different ways, but increasingly bleak. At least with Dogville, if you fall asleep half way through you've seen the start of a (somewhat bland) feel-good movie.

It's been pointed out in these parts that Mr. von Trier's films feature gratuitous suffering on the part of the female characters. Which is probably true, but also applies to most of the films I like so, er, maybe that's just the kind of guy I am, ...

How could i forget this post when not so long ago i saw what is easily the worst movie ever, being 'House of the Dead' by Uwe Boll, our german game-to-movie convertor... [:xx]
The only reason i've seen this movie was because it was in IMDB.com's list of worst movies ever

And i just wanted to see how bad it really was and laugh my ass off about it [king]

definitely "Battlefield Earth" i saw it in the cinema. i was so annoyed i couldnt actual get into this thing. shameless. they should ban it.
Runner up: "Shakespeare in love". Dull. Boring. I fell asleep in the cinema. (the only time i ever did!)

Well, have you seen Pasolini's "Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom" ?
I won't say it's one of the worst movies, but definitely very disturbing... One of the only movies that really shocked me.

i watched "salo o le 120 giornate di sodoma". i don't agree that salo is the worst film ever. it has hidden meanings in it, i think.
but i agree, it makes us feel uncomfortable.

I think I may have had the misfortune to watch one of the worst films ever this morning!

My girlfriends daughter is a big Johnny Deopp fan so I taped his film "Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas" last night for her.

Taped on video,this morning I transfered it to dvd-r,but because it was shown on Channel 4,I had to sit and watch 2 hours of total tripe in order to cut out the adverts.

Terry Gilliam has done some decent stuff in the past....this isn't one of them.
