I live my life in a way that tears my family to pieces, but i don't care. I can't care because the guilt would kill me and I feel i do them some good by staying alive, though i doubt this frequently.

I seem selfish to them, but only because they do not see who i am when they are not around. They, in fact, think me incapable of love. It hurts. But i live the way i can to forget it. In the battle of being yourself and what others want you to be... no one wins completely.

I think parents often have a set idea of what their children are like based on when they are around them, and it can be hard for both the child and the parent to break out of these thought molds when they see each other again for visits, etc. I have experienced this firsthand, whenever I "break character" in front of my family, they treat it like a dramatic event. I try not to let it bother me/hold me back, as I know I am a different person away from my parents.

Still, finding yourself and your identity is no easy process.

It's kind of a choice that has to be made.
Happiness now or (faith, and) happiness later. in this case anyway.

I wouldn't push the "happiness later" button too often though. Life is too short...

a little something for the "rusty" confessiona thread.

I find it funny, but it shouldn't be!

Before i say it i must say this: Fuck New Jersey. Fuck Bergen County.

I was pulled over while driving on the way to Manhattan on the Pallisades Prkwy. Why? Because my friend in the passenger seat threw a cigarette butt out the window and it just so happened to hit a police car. The cop was livid. He had it out for all 3 of us. I won't say the charges just in case i offend anyone, but we were all taken to the Bergen County Jail (thus "fuck bergen county"). The cops were especially unaimiable towards me because i was having a jolly old time. Apparently, they wanted me to show regret for what I was arrested for... I didn't and they felt immasculated. I was amused by it. I was bailed out on the 2nd night, unexpectedly.

Just another manic Monday.

I wish everyone's prison experience was as enjoyable as mine was to me.

;)

the things they arrest you for in the US; weird.. just a fine would have been enough. but at least you had an 'interesting' experience :)
