According to Stina's Wikipedia entry, Stina's full name is
Kristina Marianne Nordenstam

Is it too late to start calling her Kris ?

someone must have added her full name, cause that's how wikipedia works; someone here maybe?

I like Stina better than Kris, but Kristina as a singer name would be nice

Many of us don't use their original names in real life. Emma also called kristina "stina" in one of her songs. So perhaps the name was just for the birthcertificate and in real life they've chosen a more casual swedish name?

My proper name is obviously Robert but to my family and former work colleagues I've always been known as Bob ( or Bobby to my uncle/aunts/grandparents when I was very young) and to my girlfriend and friends I've made via the internet,I'm known as Rob.

I did ask Kate (my girlfriend.....who incidentally is known as Kate,Katie,Catherine,Cath and Cathy......depending on who's talking to her

) if she wanted to call me Bob to tie in with my family......or Rob, but she chose the latter,not particularly liking the former.
It can get complicated.

But back to Stina / Kristina........the name is getting quite close to Chris / Chrissie,the girl in 'A Walk In The Park'.

Yeah, Rob is better than Bob I think...
The worst is probably the short name they use for Richard.... How can english speakers call someone like that withouth even flinching!!??
