Not the recent Nicole Kidman film but the original tv series with Elizabeth ( swoon!

) Montgomery......maybe we should have a Little Picture section here?

I think i must have been about 5 or 6 when this series was first shown on the BBC......its certainly one of my early memories of watching tv an a Saturday teatime.

Anyway,this morning in the local Virgin store's sale I bought for a cool ?16.99, the complete Bewitched season one dvd box-set.

Not sure how many dvds there are but according to the blurb on the back,there are 36 episodes included which last for 14 hours and 16 minutes.

I just need to find the time to watch them all now.

Wasn't her magic accomplished by vigorous nose-twitching accompanied by a xylophone?? Hmm,have to try that

If there was a series I might buy it'd be 'Lost in space' with its bonkers robot,and the dastardly Englishman forever trying to get one over on the boring wholesome Yanks.He stole the show every time

Re: Bewitched.......I think my favourite character (not in Season one I believe ) was the elderly Aunt Clara who had the unfortunate habit of mis-direction and would usaully materialize in various cupboards.

Re: Lost In Space......I think the first series or two were the best.....it just got 'silly' later on and became too based on the young boy,Will, the dastardly Doctor Smith and the robot.
By the end Jonathan Harris was the only reason to watch the show.

Yes yes, I LOOOOOVED bewitched!
I still remember when someone tried to call their daughter Tabatha and it was rejected by the officer because " it didn't exist".
Some magic would be great to help with housekeeping,

. I loved the nosy neighbour whose husband never believed her. I just never understood why in heaven's name such a nice witch would ever fall in love with such a mediocre human being and play the housewife...

I too was an avid 'Bewitched' fan as a young 'un, the whole nose-twitching thing made me believe in magic. I used to try it. To no avail, alas.

Nicole was a perfect choice to play Samantha in the movie update, but unfortunately the movie itself wasn't much cop. Pity.

If anyone comes across the complete 'Banana Splits' on DVD, please email me.

God,I'd forgotten all about the Banana Splits.They were a laugh,kind of acceptable hippy culture for the under-12s.

They must have got hotter than the Tellytubbies in those suits.

I guess most of those little kiddies that appear in the 'theme park' title sequence with the Banana Splits must be a bunch of old forty-somethings now.
