Stina/Vangelis in a washing machine TV Ad

Stina is considerably unknown in Irkutsk, I even asked the most acute cd stores around-they never heard of her.
Well, I heard a clip from Ask The Mountains in a TV ad for some washing machine, forgot the brand though.
You have that one? it's probably no russian commercial, have you seen it?

I googled for some info, and the ad is for the Ariston Aqualtis washing machine.

Director Dario Piana is currently signed to Film Master. Post production made at BUF.

I've never seen it on TV. I don't think the brand is available in my country?

It's a beautiful commercial; if there were just more of those

But the brand is available here i think. My mom used to have one and always told me it was the best cause it always kept working

(over 15 years back i guess they still made quality goods

)
still i haven't seen the commercial myself; but then i don't watch that much tv....

I guess that any exposure of Stina's voice is perfect, so why not a t.v. commercial.

I was wondering: if you use a song in a commercial, do you have to ask permission from the artist and would they have had to contact Stina in this case. Seems a bit difficult when she's got no management, hmmm....

Just been looking at the credits and it looks like that the advertising company would only need permission from Warner Music Uk Limited.

What is scary is that the recording is already 11 years old.

Finally seen the advert here in the UK.....it was on Channel 4 during an ad break for the ever popular game show 'Deal Or No Deal'.
Curiously the Aqualtis is branded as a Hotpoint over here but i assume its the same ad.

But isn't Ask The Mountains owned by Vangelis and/or their management?

yesterday i saw this commercial on tv and it got me annoyed. i felt like someone has stolen my stina. [censor]

...i know the feeling; it's that feeling that Stina's there just for you (and the rest of our small group here). It is also somewhat special that we know and love Stina and so many people don't!

I know the feeling too. But all things considered I'd prefer if everyone loved Stina. It would raise my esteem for the human race considerably.

I'm for any kind of publicity Stina can have. When a song was used in a French commercial sometime ago, there were stickers on This is to say it was the album with the song from the commercial. If someone was curious and bought it just for this, why not?
I don't want Stina to remain a well kept secret.
I made some search and it seems Vangelis Voices sold a lot thanks to the Ariston commercial.

I'm all for Stina's music becoming commercially successful so long as she doesn't have to start prostituting her work in order to achieve it.
Thankfully there's no chance of Stina appearing on Top Of The Pops anymore.
