Please read the following text and count the number of times that the letter 'F' appears in it.

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS....

How many F's did you count?

Be honest now!

Did you count three?
Well,thats quite normal.

Did you count four?
Thats quite rare.

In fact there are six 'F's in the text.

If you got all six first time then well done but the majority of people will only see three as the brain doesn't process the word 'OF' .

I got 4 on a quick scan-through so we seem to be a perverse bunch. But then I got Python to count them properly, and it was right
