I think it's only normal that we look at the way we're using natural resources in our own life..I came across a shocking picture of a glacier in Norway we've visited a couple of times and then posted my own picture on flickr.com as a comparison. As you can see in the comments on the second picture, the main retreat has been in a period of only 42 days; I think this is mainly because of the warm autumn we're having in Europe.
