this is all i could find, and i'm still not sure what the name of the band is. i think maybe it's a cover of a band caled rock candy, but maybe not. i just really don't think it's Rock Candy. but hey, it's a lead

those are definitely the lyrics.

apparently the song is called 'Don't pick me up' and the composers are Heather Grody and R Walt Vincent (hmm, reminds me of LOST

)

The song appeared on a sampler cd from KPM music; it can be listened to on their site! here's the link:

you have to browse the cd list on the left to find the song on their site (it's the cd kpm-572); So being on a sampler is apparently how this got used in an advert

I believe the singer is Heather Grody, who was part of a band called the Murmurs, and now of a band called Redcar; she also changed her name to Heather Reid, but there's very little to find about her and the redcar site doesn't give any info, only one performance date...

when will these musicians start to advertise themselves better by having a good website of themselves...

i was searching for anything and everything connectecd to this don't pick me up song and i found this "ObesityHelp.com - Profile for Heather Reid" i just thought it was funny...lol.

but no, really. i heard her when she was with the murmurs on the album blender and i don't think that's a cd i could live with in my cd collection. it's too girly or something. it'd drive me crazy. if she went into some other genre, she'd be awesome, but not that. kinda like T.A.T.U. (which i have sentimental connections to, but not strong- i dont even own a cd) except more folkish, if you know what i mean. and yeah, i think she's gay.

The IKEA advert has changed by the way; it's still nice to see, allthough i don't like the music they've featured now...

Heather Reid (formerly Heather Grody of the Murmurs) is working with her new ban Redcar on a new album that should come out now, but it's rock music, so i'm not so much interested; too bad cause i liked her voice, but rock music is just boring

I'm still listening to her IKEA song though
