Missed this last month in the 2004 Rewind article in the Wire where some artists highlighted some pros and cons for the late year. Bark Psychosis' Graham Sutton put on Stina's "The World is saved" as his favourite record with those very simple words : "Stina Nordenstam - solid as fuck" [crazy]
On which a reader replied in the last issue :
"I also found it interesting that Bark Psychosis's Graham Sutton spoke of Stina Nordenstam's latest opus, The World Is Saved, as being one of his favourites. She remains an underrated artist, composing songs with the same subtlety and melancholy as Robert Wyatt and David Sylvian at their best. It's odd how her contemporary Bj?rk has gained so much more attention over the years. Med?lla is equally unique and alien as it uneven and clumsy. [...] Nordenstam's quiet craft seems more moving and profound in these already strange times."

I'm wondering for long about why Stina isn't covered in Wire magazine, here some balance.

Good point Spook.I have two reviews of MOAC and ASCHE that Wire did years ago,but they never did a feature or interview...and frustratingly one of those reviews implies that the reviewer saw Stina's last gig at the Jazz Caf? in London-but he didn't actually review the gig.
