The new video for Triumph of a Heart is hilarious. I don't like the song. They only track I like from Medulla is Who Is It.

Hm.. I really loved Violently Happy. (and didn't like it it was excluded.. another reason not to buy GH but the majority of the fans spoke, so it's a democratic decision ) Especially the live version where the tension was build up really nicely. It's oh so quiet was one of her biggest hits i believe, but I agree: not very representative for Bj?rk's music.
I noticed that both Vespeterine and Medulla have not gone gold in the US and UK. I wonder how long Bj?rk can continue to make these less radiofriendly albums. She's funding the records herself, so if she doesn't make enough money with that to live from.... She's no multimillionare.
I'm curious if the new album will bring a more radiofriendly Bj?rk back.

As far as I got it, Bj?rk is very wealthy and for sure became a multimillionare a long time ago.
I think she owns the copyrights for all her solo work herself.

Yes, Bj?rk funds all her albums herself and she owns the rights to all of them. An enviable situation for anyone in the music business, she has the freedom to do whatever the fuck she wants to. I think she makes enough money to keep her going, but I doubt that she is a "multimillionaire" in the sense of being able to buy whatever the fuck she wants to ... but I'm sure she has a few millions snuck away somewhere.
And Bj?rk does immense work for the Icelandic music industry ... she not only funds her own albums but albums by artists like M?m and Sigur R?s that are associated to the record company she was part of starting many years ago, Smekkleysa or Bad Taste in english.
