'People Are Strange' cd-r promo songtitles variations.

The east west CD-REF 'People Are Strange' full album promo cd have a few minor variations in the songtitles in comparison with the commercial issue.

Track 2 is credited as 'I Dream Of Jeanie (With The Light Brown Hair)' whereas the commercial release omitted the '(with the light brown hair)' part.

Track 5 is credited as 'Bird On The Wire' as opposed to 'Bird On A Wire'.

and Track 8 is credited as 'He's Like A Swallow'......the official version omitted the 'He's'.

hmmm....told you they were minor variations.

I havn't played the promo yet but judging by the time duration credits it looks as if the actual tracks themselves are identical.

interesting, but it just might be silly typos.

damn, i missed another stina rarity.

But I'm glad it found a new home within the DA community .

thats true but it would appear that the 'silly typos' were on the commercial release!!

Japan used some of the CDR promo spellings...thought it might be of interest....

The eventual listing might be because 'Like a swallow' is from an old song called 'She's like a swallow' (in some versions,eg Benjamin Britten's arrangement it's 'She's like the swallow'.)
So maybe by just calling it 'Like a swallow',Stina/EastWest were trying to get round any copyright with the change of gender

Similarly,perhaps the estate of Stephen Foster,who wrote 'Jeannie',insists on the longer title.It's always the long title in collections of parlour ballads,which is where you (I) usually see it.
