Are those boots? My boots-radar isn't going off, I suspect those are just knee-high socks. Very popular with the young ladies at the moment, for some weird reason.

Yep, my daughter (24 years old) wears the knee-high socks when she goes out on the town, as do all her friends. Looks so odd to me. Incredibly, they're all into legwarmers as well - those hideous things we used to wear with our leotards in the 80s as we did aerobics so we could pretend to be Jane Fonda. 
Even more bizarrely, the ra-ra skirt has come back.
Kate came downstairs wearing one the other day and I nearly fell off my chair. She proceeded to pair it with my old denim jacket from when I was 16, which has been hanging in the wardrobe all these years. She was ecstatic when she found it - 'my god, it's REAL 80s!!!'.
