Look at the lady (she's looking up and smiling!). She's aware of the gaze, even in that disturbing situation.

Diane Arbus, Triplets in their bedroom, NJ 1963.
I'm a twin myself, but I find a little disturbing pics of twins dressed in the same way (me and my sister have always had different clothes).

Great quote!
It sucks, or rather suckED, because some people - back then - only looked upon me as one of the twins - not as an individual or independient being. Now it's no big problem - and I haven't even seen my twin since 2001.

I remember seeing a "now" photo of those twins from The Shining a year or so ago. They looked pretty harmless, but their scenes in the film will never fail to scare the bejesus out of me! I love that movie, but I refuse to watch it alone! *LOL* [evil]
